The Redcar boss looks ahead to Tuesday’s penultimate match against Boro Rangers.
The season fast drawing to a close, albeit with nothing to play for, First Team boss Carl Jarrett expressed his hope to give the fans one last hurrah at Green Lane.
Boro Rangers visit the Redcar seafront on Tuesday evening in the penultimate match of the 2023/24 season, with a playoff place an outside possibility should they return to Middlesbrough with all three points.
Astutely aware of the threat posed by the physical outfit, the Redcar boss admitted his side would have to be at their very best to muster a result, whilst lamenting a number of absences.
“It is a difficult game.” Jarrett conceded. “They’ve had a brilliant season to be fair, so it’s hats off to them.”
“They’ve gotten to a final, obviously, beating us. I know we had a lot of lads out in that cup game.”
“I’m still struggling with injuries, and I’m still struggling with a couple of lads away working, and stuff like that.
“Still, hopefully we’ve got something for the fans to sing about on Tuesday night, because we need to turn up to beat them.
“As I said, it’s another very difficult game, but all we can do is turn up with what we’ve got, and give it our best shot.”
