We took a look at Tow Law Town in our latest instalment of ‘The Lowdown.’
Spirited, fierce, but yet to pick up a point, Tow Law Town today put their struggles behind them in an effort to upset a buoyant Redcar Athletic.

WHO ARE YA?
Tow Law Town
Coined the Lawyers, Tow Law Town Football Club was formed in 1890 as Tow Law FC, plying their trade in local district leagues, before joining the Northern League over 100 years ago in 1920.
The club have remained a Northern League member since, winning the first division on three occasions, and the second division a further twice, yet never tasting promotion – or facing relegation – to a different league.

The Lawyers boast no major honours in their long history, yet do have the accolade of a Wembley visit to boot.
In 1998, Tow Law Town became the smallest town ever to reach a major cup final, taking 4’000 supporters to the prestigious London ground in the FA Vase, where they lost by a single goal to Tiverton Town.
DID YOU KNOW: Tow Law Town’s home, Ironworks Road, is situated roughly 997 feet above sea level, making it the ground at the highest altitude in the UK.
CURRENT FORM

It’s been a tough, gruelling start to the season for Tow Law Town.
The Lawyers are yet to pick up a point, or collect a result in any competition, though that’s not to say they can’t be competitive.

Redcar Athletic tasted their lone league defeat at the Daren Persson Stadium, such disappointment long in the rear-view mirror thanks to two hefty victories on home soil.
Oscar Fletcher netted a treble against Penrith, Fewster and Blackford also on target, Mark Anderson, Nathan Guru and Cam Thomson amongst the goals in a mirrored win over Newcastle Benfield.
