Midfielder becomes the latest to commit to the club for another season.
Redcar Athletic are pleased to confirm Chay Liddle has committed to honour his current deal, remaining a part of Carl Jarrett’s squad until the end of 2024/25.
The experienced midfielder put pen to paper in the February of this year, now telling Head of Media Ash Stone he was keen to don the red and navy for yet another season.
A vital part of Carl Jarrett’s side through a multitude of injury concerns, Chay Liddle made 13 appearances for the Steelmen following his move from Northern Premier League East outfit, Hebburn Town.
Now thrilled to remain at Green Lane for another campaign, Chay had plenty to say about First Team boss Carl Jarrett, praising both his attitude, and summer business, hinting at a healthy competition for places in the coming weeks.
“It’s an exciting time to be part of Redcar Athletic.” He said.
“The gaffer won’t settle for second best, and I think his signings so far show that.
“It’s going to be a healthy competition for all of us as players to keep our shirts.
“I can’t wait to get going now.”
The big man himself, Carl Jarrett shared Chay’s excitement at an extension to his Redcar career, noting both the midfielder’s mentality, and experience.
“It’s great to have Chay on board for another year.” The First Team boss said.
“He’s great around the players, and has loads of experience in this league.”
