Our last match of the month is tomorrow, as we look to push closer to the top of the league.
Tuesday’s defeat to Bishop Auckland was a tough one to take, but it wasn’t a night of only negatives, as the Redcar players showed a lot of grit and determination as they hammered away at Bishop’s defence, even if Bishop seemed to have found the reincarnation of Gianluigi Buffon in Jack Norton, as the goalkeeper who had come out of retirement made some stunning saves to keep the Steelmen at bay.
3 good Redcar goals, capped by a stunner from Bartliff gave the travelling supporters a lot to celebrate, and now there is hope that the Hallam match will see Redcar capitalise and score lots again. Granted, a duplicate of the Silsden game probably isn’t likely, but if it happens once, then what is stopping it from happening again?
This seasons’ fixtures show the Steelmen only suffering one home defeat this season, whilst our opponents are yet to win an away game, having lost their last 4, including a 4-0 defeat to Consett.
Hallam have also only been able to score one goal in their last 3 matches, whereas Redcar have 14 in as many games (Silsden really helped).

Adam Boyes finds himself as the top scorer at this level across the country, with the prolific striker netting 10 league goals already.
Additionally, Dane Burlace is ranked joint second for assists, with the midfielder notching 4 alongside Ogunwomoju of Redbridge and Omilabu of Raynes Park Vale.
After Tuesday’s game though, there is no telling what will happen tomorrow, but if recent results are anything to look at then it could, and should be a good one, especially with the Fan Zone’s reopening featuring music from Kev Brown after the game, and Craig Hignett speaking before it!
If you can’t make the game then there will be live match updates on our X (Twitter) page, but if you can make it, then see you at Green Lane!
