Redcar Athletic were proud to welcome Borussia Monchengladbach Under21s to Green Lane ahead of their clash with Middlesbrough in the Premier League International Cup.
The German youth outfit trained on the hallowed turf in preparation for their third match in the competition at the Riverside this evening.
New for the 2024/25 season, the Premier League International Cup pits academies from across Europe against each other in a Champions League-style competition.
Monchengladbach sit fourth in Group B having played two games, victory over Middlesbrough Under21s tonight enough to see them move top.
The German outfit were welcomed at Green Lane in preparation for this evening’s match, training on the hallowed turf before heading back to Middlesbrough to rest and recuperate.

On hosting Borussia Monchengladbach at Green Lane, Club President Kevin Fryett commented: “It was an absolute honour and a privilege to welcome the players and staff of Borussia Monchengladbach Under21s to Green Lane to use our facilities for training ahead of their clash against Middlesbrough Under21s.”
