Redcar Athletic have been drawn at home to Silsden in the Isuzu FA Vase.

In the hat for the first round proper for only the second time in history, the Steelmen have been given a home draw against the Northern Counties East League Premier Division side.

30 new clubs join the competition as it enters its primary phase, with six rounds and a double-legged semi-final paving the road to Wembley Stadium.

The Steelmen breezed passed North West Counties Premier Division outfit, Padiham, in the final qualifying round, reaching this stage of the competition for the first time since 2020.

Redcar will play Silsden on the weekend of the 21st October, meaning Whickham’s scheduled visit to Green Lane will be rearranged for a later date.

Tickets will remain at the usual price of £7 adults, £4 concessions and £2 for under-16s.

As it’s an FA competition, Steelmen membership is not valid for this game.
