The homegrown forward has signed a one-year contract, with an optional extension.
Curtis Round has become the latest to pen a new deal following Redcar Athletic’s historic promotion to the Northern Premier League East.
The forward joins Danni Lay, Adam Boyes and Nathan Guru in committing his future to the Steelmen until the May of 2026. There is an optional extension in place at such time.
Born here in Redcar, Curtis Round made his name further down the coast road with Marske United, making the switch to Green Lane following their withdrawal from the Northern Premier League in 2023.
He formed a predictable partnership with long-time teammate Adam Boyes upon his arrival, but was soon forced to fill in at the back due to depleted defensive numbers.
Curtis rediscovered his scoring touch after the loan signing of Bryan Taylor, netting nine times and laying on a further nine assists in 46 appearances.
With the Steelmen set to embark on a new chapter in the Northern Premier League East, the talented forward has penned a new contract, set to keep him at the club until 2026.
The deal includes an additional option for a one-year extension, which can be triggered at any point until May next year.
On nailing down the services of the forward-turned-fullback, First Team boss Carl Jarrett said: “Curtis is a great player, and a great lad to have at club.
“I’m delighted to get him sorted for next season.”
We’re glad to have you with us, Curtis.
