Redcar Athletic Chairman Praises “Amazing” Volunteers Ahead of Brighouse Town Clash

Kev Fryett, Chairman of Redcar Athletic Football Club, has issued a heartfelt thank you to the volunteers who transformed the ground today in preparation for tomorrow’s fixture against Brighouse Town.

Following a period of heavy rainfall and ongoing preparation for the club’s formal Ground Grading inspection in late March, the facility required significant maintenance.

In response to a club appeal, a dedicated group of supporters spent the day tidying the ground to ensure it is match-ready.

“I would like to give a massive thank you to the very special group of people who joined us today,” said Kev Fryett.

“The difference they made is fantastic. We are building something special here at Redcar Athletic, and today confirmed that we are all in this together.”

The Chairman also highlighted the club’s community spirit, adding: “A special mention goes to Sammy from our matchday burger van, who volunteered her time to keep everyone fed. It was pleasing to see people give up their time to help the club. We look forward to seeing everyone at the game tomorrow.”

Our match tomorrow will kick off at 3pm at the Hollou Sports Stadium, with the Steelmen sitting 10 points clear at the top of the table
