The Redcar boss offered his thoughts on our Friday night derby with the Seasiders.
Carl Jarrett issued a plea for support as his Steelmen welcome in the new year with a Friday night derby against Marske United.
The boss lamented a poor finish to 2024, but shared his high spirits ahead of a fresh start when his former side come to the B&D Interiors Stadium this weekend.

The two Teesside rivals met for the first time on Boxing Day at Mount Pleasant, the spoils shared in a rather anticlimactic, but even ninety minutes.
Defeat to Newcastle Benfield saw Redcar Athletic end go into 2025 with but one point in nine, a record Carl Jarrett wants to put right on Friday evening.
“I’m really looking forward to our game against Marske.” He said. “Another derby game.
“If I’m being honest, as a team, we need to start putting some wrongs right. Over the last six weeks, our form has dipped, and our results obviously show that. Things haven’t been great on the pitch.
“We’ve got to roll our sleeves up, and we’ve got to be better than what we have been.
“We need to get ourselves back to winning ways. I’m looking forward to it.”

Turning our fortunes around won’t be an easy task, and Jarrett was keenly aware of that. He pleaded for Redcar fans to turn out in their masses and get behind the team.
“It will be a difficult game, but I am expecting a massive crowd there.” He said.
“Fingers crossed, with your support, we can get ourselves back on track, and continue pushing for one of those promotion spots.”
