The boss offered his thoughts on our victory over Easington Colliery.
Carl Jarrett thanked his squad for a fantastic season, as victory over Easington Colliery cemented Redcar Athletic as Northern League Division One champions.
The Steelmen finished six points clear of Shildon, who now host Blyth Town in a playoff semifinal.
MATCH REPORT
Redcar Athletic were officially champions with a victory over Easington Colliery.

There was no time for complacency at Welfare Park for the champions in waiting. Olly Cann poked home the opener after just four minutes, before Bradley Fewster doubled the lead.
Mark Anderson came off the bench to make it three, whilst Craig Gott took aim from the midfield with a thunderous effort to covet a goal of his own.
Bradley Fewster struck again as the clock ticked into stoppage time, netting his 30th goal of the season from the penalty spot.
The boss believes his Steelmen were authoritative from start to finish, in part due to a tactical switch introducing Kevin Burgess and goalscorer Olly Cann.
“I thought we were in control of the game.” He said. “Obviously we scored really early doors.

“I thought we played some good stuff today. We changed our formation. Brought Kev (Burgess) into the back three.
“When (Easington) played against us before they played a 3-5-2, so we just thought we’d change it ourselves to mix it up a bit.
“Kev gave us that little bit of aerial strength, as they’re a good, tall team, really. Strong.
“With (Nathan) Guru left out, unfortunately for him, we brought Olly (Cann) in. I thought both of our wing-backs were excellent today. First half an hour.
“Olly getting that first goal just settled us down a bit. No nerves, and we just went on and played some great football. Scored some great goals.
“Craig Gott’s goal from fully 30 yards was brilliant, and a special mention to Bradley Fewster for getting his 30th goal of the season today. That’s fantastic for him.”
As the season comes to a more than rewarding close, the boss was thankful to all involved in the club for their hard work and dedication.
Redcar Athletic had more or less cemented their position as champions last weekend, but it was finally lifting the trophy which pleased the boss the most.
“I was just delighted to get ourselves the trophy today.”
“I know we’d won it on goal difference, but until you’ve got that trophy in your hand, that’s when it becomes real.

“The lads have deserved this for the full season. The whole club has, they’ve worked so, so hard.
“We’ve had some difficult times, but we’ve all stuck together, which has made me prouder than anything else. Nobody walked away, we all stuck together as a club.
“The management, the players, everyone that’s been involved, stuck together, and we’ve got to where we wanted to be.
“We’ve done what we set out to do at the beginning of the season, and I just can’t thank everybody enough.”
