Carl Jarrett says changes made the difference as a much-improved second half performance saw his Steelmen clinch the JR Cleator Cup with a win over Easington Colliery.
Bradley Fewster came off the bench to play the match-winning pass, setting the ball on a plate for JJ Bartliff to net the only goal of the game.

The boss admitted his side were below par in the first half, but gave credit too to Easington Colliery for their energy and desire to compete.
He argued a tactical shift at the break and the introduction of Bradley Fewster changed the game – sealing another piece of silverware in what can only be described as difficult conditions.
“I don’t think we were what we wanted to be in the first half.” He said. “We didn’t really get to grips with the game.
“First and foremost, I’ll just say, Easington were brilliant. Olly (Hotchkiss) has done well strengthening his squad, and we knew they would give us a good game.
“We said before the game, Easington start their season next week, so they’re about two or three weeks ahead of us when it comes to fitness.
“They’ve come here today and they’ve got in our faces and made things hard for us. We couldn’t get the ball out wide. We had two wingers on the pitch today, and we just couldn’t use the width.
“We spoke about it at half time, and we changed a few things. Tried to use the fullbacks more in the second half.
“I thought we started okay, and then we grew into the game. It was the subs that made the change.
“We scored a good goal. Louis (Johnson) has put it in to Brad (Fewster) and he’s played a great cross to JJ (Bartliff).
“I was delighted with the second half performance. As you say, it’s another piece of silverware.
“It’s about winning. The performance might not be great all the time, but it’s about battles. We’re going to have that a lot this season.”
