The Redcar boss had high praise for our new midfielder after an impressive debut.
Carl Jarrett hailed an ‘excellent’ debut performance from Callum Guy, the midfielder on the scoresheet in a 3-0 victory over then table-topping Boro Rangers.
The 25-year-old looked a threat from minute one through 89 – when he departed through injury – capping his stellar showing with a well-taken goal.
Signed from Newcastle Benfield on Friday afternoon, Callum Guy was thrown straight into the action at Green Lane, picked in the eleven to face Boro Rangers in an important Teesside derby.
The midfielder impressed Carl Jarrett with his skill, decision making and end product, forging a dangerous partnership with Adam Boyes, and lifting home a delicate third goal to see the Steelmen regain top spot.
