The former Team Secretary served the club for almost 20 years.
Redcar Athletic Football Club showed its appreciation to Andrew McElvaney in a special pre-match presentation on Saturday afternoon.
Formerly Team Secretary for the first team, Andrew opted to leave the club last month, leaving behind a legacy spanning three decades.

Affectionately known as ‘Macca,’ Andrew worked tirelessly behind the scenes in the club’s meteoric rise from the Wearside League, seeing in both the inception of a senior squad, and the rebrand from Teesside Athletic.
Andrew was welcomed onto the pitch before kick-off on Saturday afternoon, where he was presented with a gift to mark his efforts by Club President Kev Fryett.
Having worked with Andrew through the entirety of his stay, Kev was saddened to see his departure, but keen to praise his thankless efforts behind the scenes.
“Andy has been a part of this club for nearly 20 years now,” Kevin commented, “and his contribution to where we are now has been invaluable.”
“He is going to be a big miss.
“We just hope that, whilst he has decided to relinquish his official role with the club, he still continues to come along on matchdays!”
“Thank you for everything Andy.”
