A Statement on Port Talbot

Today, the last surviving UK Steelworks in Port Talbot ceases production.

To the 2800 Steelworkers who are losing their jobs and livelihoods, we’re with you.

The UK has now lost its capacity to produce its own primary steel.

As a club, we support the efforts in Port Talbot – and of course on Teesworks – for new electric arc furnaces to arrest such a worrying reality.
