An update to our earlier statement
Redcar Athletic Football Club would like to point out that, following a media interview and website statement, BBC Radio Tees reported that John Wilberforce was a Director of Redcar Athletic Football Club.
Redcar Athletic Football Club can confirm that John is not a Director and this was wrongly reported by BBC Radio Tees.
John, at no point, referred to himself as a Director of the Club.
John is a loyal supporter who does a fantastic job promoting and supporting the Steelmen
We wholeheartedly wish to apologise to John for any embarrassment or upset this may have caused
