Redcar will don an orange shirt during the warm-up in support of PWSA UK.
Redcar Athletic are proud to support our friends over at Boro Rangers in raising awareness of Prader-Willi Syndrome this weekend, as we meet for only the second time at Phoenix Park.
Rangers will wear a special orange shirt during the match – a move echoed by the Steelmen during the warm-up – whilst a fundraising page has been set up, already amassing over £2000.
Prader-Willi Syndrome is a rare genetic condition that affects the body, metabolism, and behaviour.
PWSA UK is the only organisation in the country dedicated to supporting those with PWS, their families and carers, and the professionals involved with them.
As a club, we would like to echo Boro Rangers’ encouragement to donate to the cause, and to wear orange to the match, if at all possible.
On top of fundraising, Redcar Athletic understand Saturday is as much for raising awareness of the condition, and hope to echo such a sentiment across our own social media.
