“Imagine a Redcar invasion on the home of football.”
Redcar Athletic host North Shields this weekend in perhaps the biggest match ever to grace the shores of the small Teesside town, and fans are certainly keen to do their bit in drumming up support.
It’s the Isuzu FA Vase Third Round, a huge step on the road to a Wembley visit, and the importance of that twelfth man on the sidelines simply cannot be overstated.
Matchday Information: North Shields (h)
From parking to admission, here’s everything you need to know if you’re joining us at the B&D Interiors Stadium at 3pm on Saturday afternoon.

One of only 64 teams left in the competition across Step Five and Six, and top of the pile too, Redcar Athletic are one of the joint-favourites to win the Isuzu FA Vase at this stage, but face a tough ask in the Third Round.
North Shields are the sole remaining team to have previous success in the competition, lifting the title at Wembley Stadium themselves in 2015.

The Steelmen have never before reached this stage of the competition, and for some fans, the excitement is already palpable.
On FaceBook, one supporter (Patrick Oliver) said: “Our town’s highest placed football team in the English football pyramid are joint favourites to win the (Isuzu) FA Vase, the final of which is at Wembley in May.
“Imagine a Redcar invasion of the home of football, a weekend in London, a Boro style Redcar takeover of Trafalgar Square the night before.
“Come down and support the Steelmen this weekend!”
His comments caught the attention of David Wheater, who added: “What a town and what a team.”
Another said: “I was trying to think of some words to hype this (fixture) but (Patrick Oliver) nailed it!”
“Love this!” Said another.
“Bookmarking this just in case.” Came another longing comment.

Football is all about dreams, and dreams that can come true.
Wembley Stadium and national glory isn’t far away for Redcar Athletic – a club still relatively young and in its infancy – but we need YOUR support to get there.
Join us at the B&D Interiors Stadium on Saturday afternoon from 1:30pm (3pm kick-off), and let’s see Carl Jarrett’s men to another small dose of Redcar history!
