The boss looks ahead to our weekend trip to Ironworks Road.
Carl Jarrett says his Redcar side are full of confidence heading into Saturday’s bout with Tow Law Town at Ironworks Road.
The Steelmen have won their past two on a streak of ten goals without reply, their opponents yet to pick up a point in the division.
The Redcar boss stressed underestimating the Lawyers was not the way to go. In the Northern League, anyone can beat anyone, and defeat at North Shields proved just that.
Jarrett stressed the importance of staying focused, pleading with his players to keep up the mentality seen throughout the season, barring perhaps a trip to Tyneside.
“They haven’t had the greatest of starts.” He said of Tow Law. “I don’t think they’ve picked up a point.”
“It’s still one of those games where we have to keep ourselves focused. We need to keep up our mentality, and to make sure our attitude is exactly the same as it has been since the beginning of the season.
“We just need to keep things the same. We’re looking quite confidence in the way that we play, we’re scoring lots of goals, and looking defensively strong.
“We’ve just got to keep our momentum going.”
As far as it goes for Tow Law Town, it’s been another frustrating start to the season.
The Lawyers were spared relegation by Sunderland RCA last term, picking up a number of points in the latter weeks in the desperation to survive.
“They’ll be scrapping for their lives to try and get those points.” The boss said.
MATCH REPORT
Our report as Mark Anderson’s brace helped Redcar ease past Newcastle Benfield.
“You know what it’s like at the bottom of this league, it’s very, very hard. It won’t be a game where Tow Law will just roll over.
“As I said, we have to keep ourselves focused, and to keep our attitude and mentality right.”
