Recap
Redcar Athletic’s conquest of the Northern League continued amongst the clouds in Tow Law.
Goals from Jack Blackford and Mark Anderson put to rest the spirited Lawyers, work still to be done for Josh Mazfari to claim his seventh clean sheet of the season.
Hit by the absence of both Bradley Fewster and Olly Cann, Carl Jarrett made a change to his line-up for the first time since defeat to North Shields.
The boss placed Oscar Fletcher in attack alongside Adam Boyes, the midfielder teeing up Jack Blackford inside six minutes to open the scoring from the flank.
Lots of possession to boot, Redcar failed to turn such control into chances, Mark Anderson freeing Adam Boyes towards the half hour, but the forward unable to capitalise on perhaps the best opportunity.
A delightful delivery from Curtis Round again opened up the Lawyers when play resumed, Oscar Fletcher cushioning the ball into the path of Mark Anderson, who applied the finish.
Total control soon turned to a more open contest, as Tow Law began to cause problems on the break.
Josh Mazfari stuck out a leg to deny Mason Morrow, his reflexes tested yet again moments later, as a strong hand this time kept his clean sheet intact.
