The former Norton and Stockton Ancients boss joins Carl Jarrett in the dugout for the 2024/25 season.
First Team Manager Carl Jarrett has expanded his coaching team at Green Lane, appointing Paul Franklin as a fourth head in the dugout.
A promising coach with a deep understanding of the beautiful game, Paul Franklin joins the club following a three year stint at Norton and Stockton Ancients in the Wearside League.
Franklin led the Ancients to a second placed finish last term, denied promotion only by the domination of Darlington Town.
On stepping up to the Northern League, Paul admitted he was keen to take on a new challenge, and excited to see in the next chapter of his career with the Steelmen.
Paul said: “I’m exited to join the club, and really looking forward to working with Carl, Macca and Bully.”
“It’ll be good to be involved at a level higher to where I have worked previously.
“I can’t wait to get started.”
Pleased to add to his management team in advance of the new campaign, the First Team boss shared in Paul’s excitement to see the trio become a quartet.
“I’m so glad Paul has joined the management team.” Carl Jarrett said.
“His knowledge of local football will help us massively.
“I’m looking forward working along side him.”
