The defender puts pen to paper for the 2024/25 season.
Redcar Athletic are delighted to confirm Nathan Guru has signed a new contract with the club.
The popular defender has committed his services to the Steelmen until the end of the 2024/25 season, much to the delight of Carl Jarrett.
Making the switch from local rivals Guisborough Town in 2022, Nathan quickly became a regular fixture in the side, leaving his mark across three Redcar bosses.
The 23-year-old made 41 appearances during the 2023/24 season, the most of any to don the red and navy, and feels his time on the Redcar seafront is far from over.
“Everyone around the club is brilliant!” Nathan quipped.
“I can’t wait to get started for next season, and help move the club in the right direction.”
Perhaps happier still to see Nathan onboard for the new campaign, First Team boss Carl Jarrett had high praise for the young defender.
“I’m delighted to get Nathan sorted with a new deal.” Jarrett said. “He’s been brilliant since I came to the club.”
“He’s got a fantastic attitude, and wants to part of what we are trying to do here at Redcar Athletic, which is very important.
“Nath can play in numerous positions, and is at a great age for the club. This was really a no-brainer to get him sorted.”
It’s great to have you with us, Nathan.
